Create an onboarding experience for new and returning users to the Garmie app.

Approach:

Onboarding is always a critical part of the user journey as it introduces the user to a brand’s identity, helps them set up their account and is the first opportunity to demonstrate value. The UX designer and I reviewed the onboarding steps or navigation, page by page. Our aims were to: 

  • Introduce the user to the brand’s TOV and personality.

  • Move the user through the journey in an easy-to-understand way.

With the designs in mind, I created a copy doc with suggestions for each CTA, placeholder, helper text and error message. The CEO reviewed them and chose the ones she liked.

Outcome:

  • 96% of users said that onboarding was “personable and straightforward.”

  • 82% of users said that they “would clearly recognise Garmie from other sustainable fashion brands”
